Benefits of Membership

Members receive discounted rates to CIWBA events such as the Annual Fundraiser, CLEs, and the Judicial Reception.  Only members receive emails advertising CIWBA events. 

Members of Women Lead receive additional benefits including, but not limited to, mentorship and networking opportunities.

General Membership

The cost to join CIWBA ranges from $20-35 per membership year, which runs from June 1st to May 31st.  Renewal is open each Spring. 

General membership is $35. Attorneys working for a State’s Attorney’s or Public Defender’s Office or the Office of the Attorney General can join for $25. Attorneys new to the practice of law (between zero and three years of practice) can join the organization for $20. Members who also wish to join the Government Bar Association can join both organizations for $30 each.

Women Lead Membership

CIWBA's Women Lead Mentorship groups will continue in the 2023-2024 membership year at no additional cost. Simply complete the additional questions on the membership form to be placed in a Women Lead Mentorship group. More information on Women Lead can be found here: https://www.ciwba.org/women-lead
